“Wiser X 7”

Oh!
This strikes a little too close to home.
Are we not all tempted in this arena from time to time…
Pro 26:16
The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes
than seven men who can answer sensibly.
ESV
It is a temptation to think we are wiser than we are.
But the sluggard is something else!
He is wiser in his own eyes than seven other men.
Men that answer sensibly.
Men that are wise.
Remember what we have seen before…
Pro 12:15
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes,
but a wise man listens to advice.
ESV
The Sluggard is as The Fool.
They do not listen to the wise.
They seek not good advice.
They are always correct in their own eyes.
Pro 26:12
Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes?
There is more hope for a fool than for him.
ESV
The Lord will guard us from the path of being a fool and sluggard.
If we allow.
Do so.
