“Vineyard”
Blessings folk!
Do you see?
Do you listen?
Do you allow the Lord to speak to you through the “common” things of life.
An example…
Pro 24:30-31
I passed by the field of a sluggard,
by the vineyard of a man lacking sense,
and behold, it was all overgrown with thorns;
the ground was covered with nettles,
and its stone wall was broken down.
ESV
The Proverbist speaks of passing by a field…by a vineyard
He observes.
He sees that the vineyard is overgrown.
He sees that the ground is covered with nettles…weeds.
He sees that the stone wall was broken.
The vineyard was not receiving care.
The walls of protection were broken.
What conclusion did the Proverbist reach?
The field/vineyard was owned by a sluggard.
It was owned by a lazy man.
It was a vineyard of a man lacking sense.
Tough, accurate and truth-filled.
What of our “field/vineyard”?
Does is reflect a person lacking sense or one who knows the value of that which God has given?
Remove the thorns.
Dig up the weeds.
Repairs the wall.
