Undeserved Curse

“Undeserved Curse”
Blessings folk!
There is power in the spoken word.
We have seen this in the Proverbs.
Many the time have we been The Fool in the speaking of a word, no?
Many the time that we have not spoken blessing, rather we have pronounced curse.
The Word is clear.
We as True Believers are to speak the Word of Hope, the Word of Blessing, the Word of Life.
Speak not the word of curse.
But, what if someone speaks a word of curse against us?
What if we have spoken something against someone?
Hear the Word of the Lord…
Pro 26:2
Like a sparrow in its flitting, like a swallow in its flying,
a curse that is causeless does not alight.
ESV
You have watched a bird fly, especially the quick and agile birds like a sparrow and swallow.
Such is a curse without cause.
It will not light on the one on whom it was spoken.
Pro 26:2
Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow,
an undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim.
NLT
Rejoice in this!
Rest in this!
In Ps 109 David speaks of the curses that are being planned and spoken against him.
He does so in detail!
He describes what his enemies are doing.
He then cries out to God…
Psa 109:26-28
Help me, O LORD my God!
Save me because of your unfailing love.
Let them see that this is your doing,
that you yourself have done it, LORD.
Then let them curse me if they like,
but you will bless me!
When they attack me, they will be disgraced!
But I, your servant, will go right on rejoicing!
ESV
The world and enemies will curse us.
God will bless!
The world and enemies will attack us.
They will be disgraced!
God will bless!
The world and enemies will press in without ceasing.
May we go “right on rejoicing”.
God will bless!
