“Steps”
Blessings folk!
The next Proverb…
Pro 20:24
A man’s steps are from the LORD;
how then can man understand his way?
Our very steps…
Our very breath…
Our very existence…
Is from the Lord.
Think on this.
We have choice.
Do we listen to the direction of the Lord?
Or…
Do we listen to the counsel of our selves?
Give heed…
Jer 10:23
I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself,
that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.
Dan 5:22-23
And you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,
but you have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven.
And the vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords,
your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them.
And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, but the God in whose hand is your breath, and whose are all your ways, you have not honored.
Do we live as the pagan Belshazzar (who saw the “writing on the wall”…the context of these verses from Daniel)?
Do we praise the gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, stone?
These gods do not see.
They do not hear.
They do not know.
To praise these gods is to lift ourselves up again the Lord of heaven.
But God!
In Whose hand is our breath.
In Who is all our ways.
Who sees.
Who hears.
Who knows.
Do we honor Him?
Do we walk in the paths directed by Him?
