“Rebuke”
Blessings folk!
Here is a Proverb that is “miss-applied” in many ways.
Pro 28:23
Whoever rebukes a man will afterward find more favor
than he who flatters with his tongue.
ESV
We have seen…
Pro 27:6
Faithful are the wounds of a friend;
profuse are the kisses of an enemy.
ESV
We ere in one of two…both?…ways.
We either rebuke aggressively…without love…
Or…
We do not rebuke thinking that we are showing love.
Both…and every variation…are wrong.
Correction with/in love finds favor.
A flattering tongue without love is destructive.
Pro 28:23
In the end, people appreciate honest criticism
far more than flattery.
NLT
Seek the Lord.
Trust Him to speak in/through us.
…to His praise and glory…
