“Provision”
Blessings folk!
Let’s read the passage again.
This time give close attention to timeline.
Pro 27:23-27
Know well the condition of your flocks,
and give attention to your herds,
for riches do not last forever;
and does a crown endure to all generations?
When the grass is gone and the new growth appears
and the vegetation of the mountains is gathered,
the lambs will provide your clothing,
and the goats the price of a field.
There will be enough goats’ milk for your food,
for the food of your household
ESV
If we “know well the condition of our flock”…
If we “give attention to our herds”….
Then, at the time of harvest…
- they will provide clothing,
- they will provide exchange for the price of field.
- they will provide food for the household.
But, we must know…
- that riches do not last forever
- “a crown” does not endure automatically to all generations…
We must know.
We must give attention.
Is this speaking strictly about agrarian and business concerns?
I think there may be one more point…
