“I Want to Remind You”
Blessings folk!
Creepers had infiltrated.
Creepers still do.
Jude 1:4
For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
ESV
They pervert the grace of God.
They deny Jesus.
They seek their own sensual desires.
Nothing has changed.
What to do?
Jude begins to explain.
Note the first thing he says…
Jude 1:5
Now I want to remind you,
although you once fully knew it,
that Jesus,
who saved a people out of the land of Egypt,
afterward destroyed those who did not believe.

As we go through this short letter we will see that the recipients were Believers from a Hebrew background.
Jude uses many accounts from the Old Testament to communicate truth.
They knew these accounts.
This is the first.
He wanted to remind them of what they knew.
Jesus save a people out of the land of Egypt.
They knew this.
They rejoiced in this.
But, the next part.
After saving the people, He destroyed those who did not believe.
They knew this.
They trembled.
This is what we must do.
Remember what the Lord has done.
Know that He is righteous.
He will judge.
He will deal with sin.
He will deal with rebellion.
He will deal with the creepers.
He will deal with all who refuse to repent and live according to repentance.
