“Exact”
Blessings folk!
Many are the injustices of our day.
When…if…the history of this time is ever written, people will be shocked at the truth.
The truth that is being revealed now is surprising enough…at least to the common man.
Those with eyes, see.
Those with ears, hear.
Those of the Lord will receive revelation from the Lord…if we seek, if we desire.
This Proverb gives us the bottom-line…
Pro 29:4
By justice a king builds up the land,
but he who exacts gifts tears it down.
ESV
By justice leadership builds up the land.
Such does not exist today in man.
Man does the opposite.
Rather than build up by justice, many tear down by exacting…taxing, bribes, etc.
The “exact gifts” can be translated “taxes heavily”.
Note it is exacting for “gifts”.
Not needs.
What to do?
Seek the good of the land.
Amo 5:14
Seek good, and not evil,
that you may live;
and so the LORD, the God of hosts, will be with you,
as you have said.

Seek the good of the king.
Who knows, perhaps they will allow the Lord to turn their heart…?
Jon 3:9
Who knows? God may turn and relent and turn from his fierce anger,
so that we may not perish.”
